Lauren's Last Day of Preschool

This past week was Lauren's last week of preschool at Burnt Hickory Baptist Preschool. I am so thankful Lauren was able to go to Burnt Hickory for preschool. It is so close to our house and they have a great program. The teachers are so loving and kind, and they create a wonderful Christian atmosphere. Ms. Tricia and Ms. Becky were Lauren's teachers this year. Ms. Tricia worked really hard to prepare Lauren for kindergarten. And Ms. Becky is such a sweet helper. Lauren quite frequently came home asking for play dates with several of her friends - Mandy and Avery seem to be the ones she mentioned the most. On Wednesday they had a picnic on the lawn with outside games and jumpies for the kids. Lauren really liked the hoola hoops - something Grandmom is good at! Then, on Friday the school had a closing program and all the kids sang with white graduation caps on their heads. The school had a diploma and a New Testament Bible as a gift for the students. Tears filled my eyes as Lauren sang "Kindergarten Here We Come." It's hard to believe our Lauren will go to school in the fall. We are so proud of you Lauren! We love you more each day - bunches and bunches!
