Odds and Ends - Catching Up

Today Lauren go a package in the mail. So was so excited, gasping as she opened the box to see what was inside. Mom-mom sent her an American girl doll outfit (a belated Christmas present). She called mom-mom to come see the outfit. It was really special for her. Anna is speaking more and more. "careful, be careful" when she sees a picture in a book that looks dangerous..."do Olivia, do Olivia" when she has to take medicine she doesn't want to take, she wants Olivia to have the medicine, not her..."please, please, please" when she really wants something. She loves putting things in her pockets; she will ask for pennies to keep. She was so proud of herselft when she discovered that some of her jackets and pants have pockets to put things it. She was very serious about it and absolutely did not want me to take anything out of her pockets! Olivia is 6 months old this week. She is starting to teethe. Thankfully, she continues to be such a happy, laid back baby. She is getting more hair - the more she gets the more it sticks straight up, no curls.

This past January, Keith and I went on a marriage retreat with our Life Group from our church. Several couples went to a house in Jasper for the weekend. The house was called "A River Runs Through It" as the house was literally built over the large creek that runs through the property. We had a marvalous time hanging out, eating, and playing games together. While we were there we had several group discussions about expections in our marriages. We complete a Bible study called iMarriage by Andy Stanley. It was excellent. Keith and I always enjoy these types of studies. When we first were married the Lord led us to our small group at Noonday which tremendously helped us as we learned how "to become one." We are so thankful the Lord continues to surround us with other couples and families in the same walk of life as us. It is such an encouragement to us in our marriage and in the Lord as we both strive to continue to grow spiritually.
