Here are some pictures of Lauren and Anna in their costumes for Halloween. Lauren loves dressing up, especially when she can dress up as a princess, or in this case a fairy - Tinker Bell. We went to the Fall Festival at our church. Our Life Group created a game and gave out candy for the "trunk or treat." Kenn and Tracey joined us. Lauren was thrilled that her cousins Samantha and Nathan could join her. We hadn't seen Samantha and Nathan in quite a while, so Lauren was extremely excited when I told her they would join us. Most of the games were for older children, but Lauren did pretty well trying all the games. She even tried to throw darts at balloons (which made me nervous)! It was fun watching her play the games and try to figure out how each game worked. Occassionally, instead of throwing the ball in the hole she would simply walk the ball up to the hole. There were cake walks, face painting, and inflatable jumpies. Lauren loved getting her face painted. Even Anna got to jump! She loved it! Anna was so cute walking around in her lady bug costume. Lately, Anna wants to walk places by herself; she does not want to be held. So, we turn her loose and follow her around closely. She just keeps walking and walking. She is definitely getting more sturdy on her feet! Occassionally, she will try to run. She tried to run from me the other day. Lauren is a very thoughtful little girl. She often wants to pray for others that are hurt or sick. This a great time for us to pray wherever we are. When she sees a baby or something she likes, she often responds with, "That is sooo cute and adorable. Or, that was sooo nice of you to get that for me."
